Foster Five-- February 12, 2016

Another powerful week of learning and relearning.  

1. If you love caring about what they think, you never achieve your gift.
2. Everyone is entitled to share their opinion.  Equally as important is the delivery of that opinion. 
3. We all need our fans and cheerleaders around us when we go through change.  Grateful for mine--- they never waiver.
4. Sometimes the whispers and nudges we get from God aren't enough to move our strong stubborn souls.  Instead we just need a big, huge, strong push.  
5. The more time we give to the things that matter, the richer our lives will be.

Foster Five-- February 5, 2016

1. Write it out until you figure it out.
2. Be genuine. Always.
3. Don't work so hard at squeezing yourself in where you are not meant to fit. If it's forced, it's not worth it. 
4. If we skimp on our inner self, our outer self will suffer.
5. You are meant to soar. Acknowledge it.

Foster Five--January 29, 2016

1. If you realize your strengths you realize your dreams.

2. We can not go around grief but must go through it in order to heal.

3. It's OK to hit the pause button.

4. Find a safe place to grow and avoid all elements that will stunt your growth.

5. Many times our pain and stress is simply fear disguised.

Foster Five--January 22, 2016

1. Give without strings attached. Whether it's your time, talent, resources, or money, just give fully without expectation and judgement.

2. Do what brings your soul to life. The spark ignites and re-ignites when we do so.

3. Your success is what you want it to be.

4. Be a good steward of your gifts.

5. Appreciate the constants of life. These things keep you grounded in peace and gratitude.

Sometimes it seems there are weeks where you have the opportunity to learn one really awesome, big, profound, thing and that one thing is just as powerful as learning five things.

1. The process of grieving is just as unique as each person.  Honor yours. Honor theirs.
2. A true leader walks beside you-- not in front and not behind.
3. Never assume you won't get what you want.  Sometimes all you need to do is ask.
4. Science fair is not a project for kids; it's a test for the family.
5. Don't fault those who can't see past their problems; show them the way by being the light.

This was a week of seeking peace and finding a quiet space to remember a dear friend. The greatest lesson learned this week was how important it is to find time to just "be" and reflect.

These Foster Five are dedicated to my dearest friend Stacey Smelser Webb.

1. Make hope and love your focus to keep fear at bay.
2. Prayers are most effective when you feel them.
3. Trust yourself.
4. Believing in miracles is wonderful.  Witnessing miracles is life changing. I have been changed.
5. At the darkest times, faith finds its way back in to our hearts.

1. Faith carries us when nothing else can.
2. The gift of positive words is so very powerful.  Lift someone up with yours.
3. We don't earn respect by asking or demanding.  We earn respect with our actions.
4. You can never overuse the genuinely shared words, "I Love You." Never.
5. It's not rigidity that helps us achieve our dreams and goals, but instead it's a mix of passion, belief, and discipline.

1. Lead with your heart.  You can't go wrong.
2. Our dreams should be big enough to excite us and scare us.
3. Not only should we believe in prayer, we must feel it.
4. Schedules actually help us reach our goals. Even the rebellious find success.
5. The love found in true friendship is immeasurable.

1. Nurture what and who you love.  Daily.
2. The relief and peace that come with making a big decision is a process.  Be OK with that.
3. Fear is usually at the core of most unrealistic expectations.
4. Encourage, praise, and compliment others as much as possible.  Don't be frugal with that type of magic.
5. Acceptance is the readiness to see what really is.

1. You must believe before you receive
2. If you have good health, family, friends, laughter, and faith-- you have it all.
3. It's not about points, it's about passion.
4. It's supposed to be a life, not a road race.
5. When your feet hit the floor each morning, express your gratitude.  Every. Morning.

1. Respond with grace.
2. The answer is always within us.  Trust and be still.
3. Sometimes "fixing something" simply means listening.
4. It's not a true leap of faith if you know where you are going to land.  Believe and just jump.
5. We get to write a new page in the chapters of our lives every day.  What a gift!

Foster Five---October 2, 2015

1. Do what you love and don't worry if anyone is going to give you credit.
2. Allow yourself daily to be awestruck. Just take it in.
3. Please be yourself.  Only Yourself. That's what matters most.
4. If the process is painful and the end result provides only relief instead of exhilaration, it's time to walk away.
5. Know that every person you meet daily was put there for a reason.  It could be a small reason or a big reason--- it's all significant.  I promise.
